It’s time for my humble Darphin Stimulskin Starter Set review!

There are five luxurious starter sets available. Why this is the most expensive set? It is the new line and contain most precious products from Darphin? I am so excited to give it a try! The set comes in all gorgeous packages.

Are you using any eye serum? Currently, I am using Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Serum Triple Correction Eye Serum. I also tested this product undereye. I can see that this Darphin serum hydrate under eye area incredibly well and can be double as an eye serum (unless you have extra sensitive skin).

This Darphin serum contains

It is a good blend of skin improving ingredients and it is gentle. No retinol or exfoliant (a little bit of fragrance is added). This product is one of the gentlest anti-aging product. I wouldn’t expect instant result but rather an excellent long term skin improvement.

IcanGWP: Forget about typical rich heavy and greasy oil, this Darphin 8-Flower Nectar is so incredibly light. It is a phenomenal choice for night time regimen. The product will be perfect for all skin type. This amber potion has a lightweight texture, it’s more like a floral scent maple syrup! Darphin 8-flower Nectar has a purest and most pleasant floral scent. You only need 2 drops to do a therapist swipe on face down to collar bones, heavenly relax. Full size bottle will last at least a year for me. It was like my spa day whenever I used this sample.

From the ingredients, there are 20+ flower or fruit oil or extracts with their own benefits to skin. In addition, vitamin C and E are also listed. I would love to suggest this product for PM usage after serum and before moisturizer to add this huge benefit to your skin. It is a truly worth trying skincare item. There are 3 synthetic ingredients that works as additional fragrance (jasmine-, Ylang Ylang- and citrus-like fragrance). I think that it is not necessary but the amount is very low. There are only 68 facial oils at Sephora here. And only 11 are fragrance free. Darphin 8-Flower Nectar can easily be in the top best seller there if Sephora carry it. If you see all top rated face oils from Sephora.ca here, all Darphin Aromatic line get almost 5 out of 5 review scores (except tangerine).

I am happy to try something new! Not sure if I would purchase this Darphin 8-flower nectar, I prefer DARPHIN Jasmine Aromatic Care $110 as you can read my review here. It is a mix of botanical and floral scent. It’s personal. If you prefer floral scent, you may give this product a try. It can also be double as a perfume too, sweet!

IcanGWP: This is my favorite item in this starter set. It is not my choice that this cream is $295 but I absolutely loved how my skin felt. Darphin Stimulskin Plus Cream smells divine. This buttery cream is effective but goes on light and velvety. It actually is more like an emulsion than a cream. It’s not thick or heavy and is very pleasant on my combination skin. This beautiful pale yellow moisturizer feels wonderful, makes my skin look fabulous without greasiness.  I use it at night when I want a little bit of pampering.

There are 85 ingredients in this cream (that why I like it)! First few goodies are mostly emollients. This Darphin cream also contains butylene glycol, to condition the skin; tomato extract, with damage-repairing antioxidants; gentian and barley root extract, to reduce inflammation; rice bran extract, to repair skin damage; and caprlic triglyceride, to moisturize.

Similar to the serum from the same line, it is so gentle. This is the easiest way to give your skin a deeper hydration and improvement without being harsh. This product receive the average review 4.4 from 3,800+ reviewers at Birchbox here.

My final thought

It is a perfect introduction of the line. I am impressed with Darphin Stimulskin Starter Set. It is not telling a lie when it says high-end. All items are formulated so perfect. This set is like nirvana for your skin and it is only $15! I wish it is more affordable for full size. As you may notice, it is so gentle and this Darphin set is an alcohol free skincare set! This line will take time. I only use it for a few days I do not know if it will deliver great long term results, but I have good result so far. I would suggest to add some weekend mask or exfoliate to your routine if you feel that it is not deliver anything instantly.

If you are under 20, you are not concerned about skin ageing, lack of elasticity, fine lines and dehydration, one of the other brand would maybe be better. But if you are using high-end skincare and want to add new ritual to your skincare regimen, 8-flower Nectar or other Darphin Aromatic Care Oil may be a good addition. Also Stimulskin serum or moisturizer are certainly stand-out in several ways.

I also believe in wide variety skin treatments. I think that a combination of distinct approaches and ingredients will fulfill what my skin need.
