This facial exfoliator won’t transport you to Bora Bora, but it does use the sands of that small island in French Polynesia to get deep into your pores, and clear out dirt while removing dead surface skin cells and preventing ingrown hairs. IcanGWP Men Review: compared to other face scrubs this one has a good texture, the abrasive sand stays mixed into the thick soap, so that it doesn’t rinse into the eyes easily. The scent reminds me of the soap used in auto shops to wash grease off the hands, a simple orange that doesn’t stick around after being rinsed off.

IcanGWP Review: This is my favorite item in the box.

IcanGWP Men Review: The bar has something in it that makes it abrasive, but since I don’t rub the bar directly on my body (I lather the soap in my hands first), the scrub didn’t do anything for me. Otherwise the soap is fine, it smells OK and seems to clean well.

Marlowe No. 123 Men’s Facial Moisturizer | Full size $14

IcanGWP Men Review: it’s a thin moisturizer that goes a long way, I didn’t have to use much. The scent is mild. It doesn’t leave a greasy texture after being applied. Might not be heavy enough for a really cold winter day, but good for fall.

IcanGWP Review: It’s simple, light and not overly fragrance. Marlowe leaves truly matte finish (more than Clinique Gel) which I really like.

IcanGWP Men Review: The eucalyptus scent is dominant, it’s a slippery medium weight liquid that doesn’t lather. I rubbed it in and rinsed it off, didn’t notice any big difference, though some of the face oils were removed certainly.

IcanGWP Review: It has a nice masculine style scent mixed with chamomile. It’s dryer than women’s cleansing towelletes and is gentler in terms of cleansing agent. It would be perfect as a refreshment wipe or waterproof sunscreen cleanse.

Quick Take:

While buying multiple skincare or makeup products to test, compare, contrast or simply to collect is a part of being a fan of the beauty industry for some women (including me).

Most men don’t feel the same way. For them, stepping into “those” stores or buying product after product is more of an expensive and unnecessary headache than a fun experience. I like the new $10 BirchboxMan box and I think it’s a neat gift!
