The Amazon Luxury Beauty Box is an official box that ships from and sold by Amazon. You can either purchase directly or as a gift with purchase of a variety of luxury beauty products that ships from and sold by Amazon in their Amazon Luxury Beauty shop.  

In this post, I will provide you details about Amazon Luxury Beauty Box, Reviews, Coupons, how to get it FREE with select purchase and how much does it worth.

Amazon Luxury Beauty Box was started first time in 2015 during Amazon Prime Day (see my post here about this event). You can get it a few times per year from Amazon Luxury Beauty Department.  These Amazon Luxury Beauty Boxes only last a few hours or days after launch. It was available to everyone (not limited to Amazon Prime Members). There is no schedule and this is not a subscription box.This box I am going to review is the third Amazon Luxury Beauty Box.

Amazon Luxury Beauty Sample Box Spring 2016 Review

I purchased  this 13-piece Amazon Luxury Beauty Sample Box Spring 2016  from  Amazon for $8.99. I received 16-piece Amazon Beauty Box April 2016 and the extra bonus items are:

This is an incredible way to spend $8.99 at Amazon! The box is indeed luxurious. There are magnets and they click to smoothly close the box – beautiful. Nothing is leaked or damaged.

Let’s see my thoughts on each item in Amazon Luxury Beauty Sample Box Spring 2016.

Sabon Body Lotion Delicate Jasmine 1.7fl oz | Full size $25

Body lotion, based on a blend of natural oils. Olive oil, Avocado, Borage and Wheat germ that are Rich in omega 3+6+7+9 and vitamins A and E. Paraben & Mineral Oil free. Comes in a delicate jasmine flower scent.

IcanGWP Review: First, this company packaging is top notch – very pretty. Second, I am glad they replaced the shower gel with the body lotion, lucky! You can only purchase it from their site: Sabon NYC. It absorbs very well. Its scent is not overpower at all – delicate and sweet. It is free of paraben and mineral oil as a plus!

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid, 0.1 fl oz Full size is $22.99 (reg $29.99)

IcanGWP Review: The average review is 5. It contains 5 active ingredients. It is a truly fluid sunscreen (watch out, I spilled some). It is very well absorbance. It dries immediately and doesn’t leave any shine, cast or grease at all. For those with sensitive skin, it contains some alcohol.

TOPPIK Hair Fattener, 1.0 oz $16.84 at Amazon or $11.99 at Sally Beauty

Leave-in styling serum. Toppik Hair Fattener is a concentrated leave-in styling serum for fine, thin or thinning hair. Adding volume, shine and body, this unique blend of Keratin protein and nutrients nourish and infuse the hair shaft for healthy and voluminous hair.

IcanGWP Review: This is a very interesting product. It is funny that “Does TOPPICK Hair Fattener really work?” is the top keyword from Google. It is not one of those fiber or black thingy product. It is a clear gel (shampoo texture). I try it when my hair is dry. It adds volume a bit from mid to the end of my hair. Not so much though. However, it flattens my root and bang. The average review on Amazon is 3.8. People said it is great on damp hair. FYI – There is no Minoxidil that is a proven ingredient to treat hair loss (e.g., Rogaine).  It’s good that you do not have to worry about continuing using it or go bald again.

AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream, 0.68 fl oz | Full size is $23

AHAVA Mineral Hand Cream provides your hands with deep nourishment and hydration, instantly soothing chapping and dryness and imparting healthy, satiny softness for increased comfort throughout the day. The formula absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy feeling, and restores vitality for supple, softer and younger-looking hands. Paraben-free. Approved for sensitive skin. Hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested.

IcanGWP Review: If you like AHAVA ‘Time to Smooth’ Age Perfecting Hand Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 15 $32, this one is also great. It is thicker, more heavenly smell and mean to be use indoor (no sunscreen). I keep the previous one in the car, this one in my office and Clinique Deep Comfort Hand & Cuticle Cream $22 on my night stand.

Marvis Cinnamon Mint Toothpaste | Full size $10.50

A refreshing, creamy toothpaste in a cinnamon mint flavor that whitens and protects teeth while freshening breath. Imported from Florence, Italy, Marvis is a superior dental brand that has been loved in Italy for generations.

IcanGWP Review: The average review is 4. I am lucky to get this one because I really like cinnamon. I’ve always wanted to try artisan toothpaste from Marvis. It is really tasty. Just enough light cinnamon flavor. Compare to cinnamon toothpaste I have tried, this one is less sweet, less cinnamon but more refreshing. The cinnamon and mint in this toothpaste do not last very long. My teeth are nicely clean. There is a nice Marvis 7-day of flavor set at Sephora here.

VICHY Ideal (or Idealia) Life Serum, 0.05 fl oz Full size is $39

IcanGWP Review: This fragrance serum is lightweight and absorbs well. It adds a subtle glow to my skin. LR2412 is the key ingredient in famous Lancôme Visionnaire line. If you go to Amazon Luxury page here you can see a good comparison chart for VICHY serum products.

Vincent Longo Sun Moon Stars Trio Eyeshadow in Sweet Melody (received full size) $30

Three shades of carefully selected eye shadows in a single pot, make professional color matching a breeze. The simple sex or lux or pax philosophy tells you exactly where to place each shadow on your eye. Guides you where on the eye to apply each shade for a professional result. Delicate pearl finish. Streak proof and crease free blending. May be used wet or dry.

IcanGWP Review: There are Sun, Moon and Stars on it. It is so pretty. This eyeshadow is very buttery smooth. Truly delicate pearl finish. It is not very pigmented, more like a blendable eyeshadow. There is a very fine shimmer in it (barely noticeable). The peachy one is versatile and the dark brown with orange undertone is good too. I am still not quite sure about spring green. People with green eyes seem to like this shade. The average review is 4. You can get some makeup and brush line of Vincent Longo from Nordstrom here.

L’Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate Body Cream .2 oz. | Full size is $50

This super-smooth Milk Concentrate is formulated with powerful almond extracts to melt into the skin and leave it as soft as satin. Skin looks firmer and smoothed thanks to the action of almond proteins, a silicium derivative and a new complex combining a walnut seed extract and an almond tightening extract. Almond milk and oil help nourish and envelop skin with a mouthwatering scent of fresh almonds.

IcanGWP Review: The average review is 4.6 on Sephora site. Who doesn’t like this product? It’s great!

LIERAC Mesolift Serum .3 oz | Full size $60

Everyone has bad skin days—even the French. We’re stealing a page from those fresh-faced femmes who turn to this lightweight serum for instant radiance. The formula is based on mesotherapy, a subcutaneous injection of vitamins and minerals that boosts collagen and elastin production. In this case, you get all the benefits—glowing, toned, hydrated skin—without the needles.

IcanGWP Review: It contains hyaluronic acid dosed at 15% but this gel serum is incredible lightweight. The average review is 3.8 on Birchbox site. I’ve never tried this brand before. I like it and I think this is a great option for summer usage.

FYI – Mesotherapy employs multiple injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic medications, plant extracts, vitamins, and other ingredients into subcutaneous fat.

bliss Foot Patrol, 1.0 fl oz | Full size is $18

Our action-packing tube of peppermint and salicylic acid foot-softening splendor makes skin noticeably soft and silky after a single coating. Smooth on daily for feathery-tender feet.

IcanGWP Review: Bliss put this item in this Amazon Luxury Beauty Box from hundreds of possible awesome Bliss skincare, makeup or spa products. There’s something about this foot cream (I thought). I really enjoy using this product – aromatherapy! It smells like herbs for me. It is lightweight and absorbs really well. It actually works to soothe my feet after a long day! You can also buy it direct from Bliss direct here.

Julep Nail Polish Color Treat, Carla It Girl, 0.27 fl oz (received full-size) $14.

A fast-drying, long-lasting, treatment-infused nail polish for a nourishing mani.

IcanGWP Review: Carla It Girl is perfect for summer! It looks crazy good when you are more tan. Julep quality is wonderful. It is long lasting, chip resistant, has great depth of color and opacity is very good. It’s gorgeous without a top coat. It doesn’t have strong chemical smell like others. Good formula pale pink shade like this is hard to find. You must do your nails perfectly as every little speck of color on your cuticle will show (including mine). The formula is quite runny and a little difficult to work with. Also, it takes quite long to dry.

Shaveworks The Cool Fix, 1.0 oz | Full size is $12

Put out the fire. A soothing blue gel that alleviates shaving and waxing woes. The Cool Fix is a soothing, cooling blue gel designed to alleviate problems which may result from waxing and or shaving. This blue gel will reduce ingrown hairs, razor bumps, razor burn, and redness. An effective combination exfoliating agents help release trapped hairs from underneath the skin, kill bacteria, and prevent ingrown hairs from reoccurring. In addition, a clinical level of natural soothing ingredients enrich the gel allowing for quick and even distribution over skin surface. Perfect to soothe large patches of irritated skin in the bikini area, legs, and underarms.

IcanGWP Review: There are 164 reviews from Amazon and the average review is 4.5. People really like this product.

NUXE Comforting Cleansing Milk face, eyes and lips, 0.13 fl oz | Full size is $22.49

NUXE Comforting Cleansing Milk with Rose Petals cleanses and removes make-up while protecting the skin from dryness (Cotton Oil derivative, Coconut Oil). Skin is nourished (Macadamia Oil), soothed and softened (Damascena Rose Petal Floral Water, Allantoin). For normal to dry sensitive skin.

IcanGWP Review: It smells nice but it is too weak. It doesn’t clean makeup well.

NUXE Merveillance Expert Regenerating Night Cream, 0.05 oz | Full size is $57

This night cream fills in visible lines, firms, and smoothes skin. Daylily Oleoactive and Mimosa of Constantinople target three skin proteins (vimentin, collagen, and elastin) to help fight the appearance of visible lines and loss of firmness. The skin feels regenerated. On waking, skin appears regenerated: 78%. After 28 days, skin is firmer: 88%. Use test conducted under dermatological supervision on 32 volunteers over 28 days of twice-daily application.

CM Romance de Provence .06 fl oz Full size is $80

No one knows fragrance like the French, and this sophisticated eau de parfum from Grenoble-born designer Catherine Malandrino proves it. Inspired by the Provence region, it begins with subtle fruity layers and opens up to a floral bouquet of jasmine, orange flower, rose, violet and lily (all against a backdrop of powder musk, amber, and patchouli). Both sweet and sleek, it provides a je ne sais quoi that lingers all day.

IcanGWP Review: There’s 18k+ reviews on Birchbox for this item. It is not a typical Provence type of perfume (I am kind of associate it with Lavender). The product description is exactly what it is. They average review is 3.4. It is a high quality one, stayed all day.  If you are a Chanel No. 5 type, you may like this one. It is a little bit fruitier and less musk or vanilla note.

Euphoria by Calvin Klein .04 fl. oz. | Full size is $89

Let’s compare this Spring Amazon Luxury Beauty Box 2016 to the Winter Amazon Luxury Beauty box (see my unboxing post here). There are a few repeat items but I think that there are much better new items in this box.

Can you think of something that is challenging for Amazon to sell? That’s right – prestige and high-end cosmetics! Amazon realizes that too. I love gift with purchase. That’s why I am a beauty blogger with the blog name “I can Gift With Purchase”. Amazon would have a good team study customers like us (or it’s obvious?). Now, they decided to jump into the market of luxury beauty gift with purchase. And that’s a lovely thing for our niche!
