Hey, I’ve sold with Glambot before. It’s pretty easy. I think it’s one of the easiest ways to sell used items, but you can definitely get more money if you tried to sell it on used makeup exchange forums instead. They also take samples of things, so if you subscribe to those sampling programs, it’s a way to get rid of the slowly growing mountain of stuff. The negative/ annoying part is that it’s hard having at least 20 items to sell, and packing everything carefully so that the powders don’t get broken. Also, if they don’t accept your package, you have to pay for them to ship it back to you, which is also potentially really annoying. They also have a referral program (give $10, get $10, but only valid on first purchase of $25 or more)

Hi Liya, thank you so much for your honest feedback! I read the instruction and they recommend to individual wrap each item, bummer (but fair). New items can be donated. I think it’s a good option for those who want to clear the gently used items and do not want to list individual item on swap site, eBay, or craigslist. Thanks Liya ❤

When I packed my box, I rubber banded all the pen/stick type items together, and wrapped that in bubble wrap. I also packed everything as tightly as I could so I did manage to avoid having to wrap up every single item. One tricky thing for me was mascara samples, since they only take new ones. I don’t wear mascara (eyelashes are far too short), but I couldn’t remember whether I tried the sample or not, so I just ended up throwing them all out. I do wonder if they are able to tell if the mascara is used or not.

Hi, Liya. That’s a good tip for packing. If it is sealed like Blinc or drugstroe mascaras, then it is clear. New mascaras shouldn’t have big chunk of product around the little lip at the top of the tube. But if it hasn’t been pump in and out of the bottle many times, then it is difficult to tell. Mascara gurus please help us!
