I haven’t tried any yet but I like this brand SkinFix. The ingredients from this brand is simple and gentle but I don’t want to buy the full size. Olay eyes, makeup remover will be handy. I won’t use all of them but nice to try a few items in the kit. I’d grab the k-beauty sampler box but two Ulta stores near me didn’t have it. I was thinking about target baby box but it was out of stock while I was blogging! It was a great box!

I see. I haven’t been in Ulta store for so long. somehow I can’t find anything that interested me in Ulta store, though they offer more diversity and reasonable price than Sephora.

Sigh. I’ve tried them all. And am currently subscribed to all, and I buy the Ulta and Target ones.
Here’s my opinion: I can’t stand the Sephora box. I feel like they could do so much better given their base is all cosmetics, hair, and skin care. I’ve received the Smashbox primer at least four times, and the Purity cleanser about that often too. I’d like to try new things, and I seem to always get the same brands and products that are not new to me. I find their little cotton bag to be somewhat silly too…it’s not really useful for makeup.
I love Birchbox in terms of variety of products, with some neat new brands. But they are small samples for sure.
Ipsy is a winner, I think, as you get the makeup bag too (which I usually resell for at least $5 on ebay.
The Ulta box doesn’t impress me, and the Target one I usually give to my kids or students I work with. I’ve gotten a bit snooty I guess in regard to the brands (although I think Vichy is very good).
So my favorite, at $15, is Allure. The portions are generous, a good variety, and often they have an unexpected sample. This month it was a Secret deodorant (which are pricey.) I like the focus on makeup that they have compared to skincare (which I am picky on).

Oh wow, thanks a lot for your honest feedback! I am on the GWP world. I like my freedom to buy whatever I want and pick GWP or sample bag (even the value of the gift) that I am interested to try 🙂 Here’s what I think:
Sephora: Last month I’ve gotten the highest value box. I know this month is going to be like this. It’s the only sub I have. I like the customization and I’m waiting for the LE box. I wish that they improve the shipping time. I received it a few days ago.
Birchbox: I like their LE box or kit.
Ulta: Their recent GWP turned me off (too much drugstore samples). I like their drugstore + niche brands in the kit for trying out new items.
I can’t comment on Ipsy or Allure (no experience).

oh, I’m about to cancel Sephora, but I’m holding them for Play! LE box. not $10 but I subscribed Petit Vour for a year, they are $15+tax for me. they are nice, but they gave toooooo many lip products full size, which I don’t use. I like Spacenk or Cult beauty GWP events worth more so I cancelled PV.
