Hi Sarah, LOL. I was expecting something like paper samples too! I opened the package right the way and bragged to my family (who do not get it). I took a chance and think it is helpful to share this information. Bluemercury really is awesome! Today, we can score the NARS, Bliss set, Caudalie and Bumble & Bumble, don’t wait!!

I got those lipsticks free from Blue Mercury a few months ago and was pretty stunned when they sent both in full size from the sample choices. I especially like Fall in Nude. Definitely the best samples I’ve received from them. I was hesitant because a lot of times when you pick the really good samples they go out of stock before your order ships. Then my experience has been they don’t sub samples so when I pick good ones, I usually receive no samples or maybe one not-so-great sample that I picked. Same for the gifts with purchase, which is why I don’t order from Blue Mercury regularly. (Though once customer service did let me pick and send a subbed gift with purchase.)

Hi DL, thank you for your honest feedback! I was stunned when I saw them too. Nordstrom or Sephora are selling full price! They did not sub out-of-stock samples, that happened to me as well. It’s great to know that their customer service is great!

Also note that the Bliss freebie says “packette.” I have a feeling that those who pick that one will get a foil sample of lotion, not the pictured 4-pack. (Hope I’m wrong though.)
