PLAY! by Sephora Beauty Box Subscription is a monthly beauty subscription box for only $10 and shipping is free. I’ve never entered my profile for Sephora’s subscription box. So the series of the boxes I received may be a default box or no profile box. The box I received this month is actually the default box on their site here.

IGK Rich Kid Coconut Oil Gel Review | Full size $27

A coconut oil-infused gel to create hydrated, undone hair.

This product contains the IGK LA scent: a refreshingly bright arrangement of bergamot, lemon zest, mimosa, heliotrope, and black amber. Formulated without gluten, mineral oil, and petroleum, it is vegan, cruelty-free, and color safe with UV protection.

IcanGWP review: I find this multitasking hair gel is super helpful and luxe! It is good if you don’t want to apply hair serum, heat protector and hair style products. It’s a little bit of everything. My most favorite feature is that it’s extremely lightweight. Don’t expect it to replace all traditional steps. Do expect to get a rich girl hair look with very minimum effort – it’s great for summer. The scent is more on the neutral – not girly like most hair styling products (nothing close to coconut).

Benefit Cosmetics the POREfessional Face Primer | Full size $31

Benefit Cosmetics is coming to Nordstrom beauty this summer!

Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil Review | Full size $32

A luxurious rose-gold hair and body oil that is a silicone-free fusion of nutrient-rich oils from all over the world. Phthalate-free; sulfate-free; paraben-free; silicone-free

IcanGWP review: I always use coconut oil to mask my hair. It is the ultimate natural booster that keeps my hair and scalp healthy from within. I know what coconut oil can do for my hair so I am glad to get a light version that does not require rinsing. The oil is versatile and we can pop it in our bag and apply to our body or add shine to our hair. It has a delicate rose scent that completely fades away in 1 minute. It leaves obvious shine on skin and hair. I prefer it on the end of my hair, it helps straighten and add shine to it. Neat product.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in K-Dub Review | Full size $20

A long-wear, high-pigment liquid lipstick with a smooth, matte finish and all-day, lightweight comfort.

IcanGWP review: This very bright fuchsia is loud and it’s bold, indeed. The lip stain dried beautiful matte. It feels dry a little bit. The formula is super long lasting, doesn’t emphasize lip imperfections nor smear. I’ve got noticed wearing it 😊. I would add a little of this shade (K-Dup) on top of my very nude lipstick.

First Aid Beauty Hello FAB Coconut Skin Smoothie Priming Moisturizer Review | Full size $28

A superfood-powered, oil-free priming moisturizer that brightens, smooths, and visibly blurs pores and imperfections, while leaving skin with a natural, dewy glow.

IcanGWP review: It’s summer. Do we need coconut moisturizer? It turned out that this product is very light weight – almost like gel. It has a light pleasant scent and it has a pale orange color. It doesn’t add any noticeable color to my skin. It’s a smart product that you can tone your skin and then use this product as a serum, moisturizer and primer – all in one!

Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Review | Full size $69 – $118

Discover Black Opium Eau de Parfum, the new feminine fragrance by Yves Saint Laurent.

Notes: Top: mandarin, pink pepper, pear. Middle: jasmine, orange blossom, solar floral accord. Base: cedarwood, patchouli, vanilla, coffee.

IcanGWP review: I love Yves Saint Laurent Black opium. I got some compliments on the day I wore it. It is very floral and sweet, very lovely.

 Quick Take:

For me, Sephora nailed it this month. I checked other variations of the June Play box. If I could customize my box, this is the box that I’d pick. It’s a little bit unusual to get so much primer, coconut or haircare samples in a summer box. The Play book says to use oil – because hot air dehydrates our skin and to use cream-based products instead of powder-based products – because when we sweat it will look dewy not cakey. Reasonable, isn’t it?
